This is a full-time role for a Customer Service Representative.  This position will be responsible for ensuring customer satisfaction, providing support to the customer, sales and other teams as needed and enhancing the overall customer service experience on a day-to-day basis. This position is based in Elberfeld, Indiana; however, remote work may be considered for the right candidate.

Role Responsibilities:

Phenix is a full-service food packaging film supplier with printing and warehousing capabilities. Our offerings include high-quality flexible and rigid food packaging, custom printing, and equipment service, sales and maintenance. Thanks to our network of printing partners and warehouses, we’re able to print, store, and deliver what the customer needs regardless of their location.

JOB SUMMARY:

This is a full-time role for a Customer Service Distribution Representative.  This position will be responsible for ensuring customer satisfaction, providing support to the customer, sales and other teams as needed and enhancing the overall customer service experience on a day-to-day basis. This position is based in Elberfeld, Indiana; however, remote work may be considered for the right candidate.

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Interact with customers via telephone, email, online chat, or in person to provide support and information on products or services.
  • Collects and enters orders for new or additional products.
  • Fields customer questions and complaints; when the issue is beyond the representatives knowledge, forwards to the assigned specialist or other appropriate staff while remaining engaged.
  • Ensures that appropriate actions are taken to resolve customers’ challenges and concerns.
  • Maintains customer accounts and records of customer interactions with details of inquiries, complaints, or comments
  • Responsible for onboarding new customers
  • Responsible for accurate and timely order entry, quote generation, purchase order generation and invoicing
  • Proactively communicates shipment dates and delivery dates to stakeholders
  • Manage inventory levels for designated customer to ensure no stock outs balanced against company goals
  • Supply customer reporting as needed such as inventory level reports
  • Participate in weekly customer update calls and sales update calls
  • Provide customer requested regulatory documents as requested
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications / Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree or five to seven years of customer service experience required, preferably working in a distribution capacity.
  • Ability to manage large pivotal high-profile accounts with multiple product lines generating revenue of $1,000,000
  • Excellent communication skills including active listening and curiosity
  • Service-oriented with the ability to resolve customer complaints and issues while maintaining a professional and calm demeanor

Role Responsibilities:

JOB SUMMARY:

The Engineering Maintenance Mechanic will oversee the installation, performance, and maintenance of production machinery.

This is an exciting, hands-on opportunity to travel to customer sites, troubleshoot and repair advanced equipment, and keep operations running at peak performance. You’ll combine technical expertise with customer collaboration to solve problems, implement upgrades, and make a direct impact every day.

Location is Elberfeld, Indiana – Will entertain remote. Travel required 70%  Home most weekends

  • Travels to Customers locations for technical support
  • Performs preventive maintenance inspections and service on machines
  • Thoroughly cleans machines and machine parts, removing parts and reinstalling as necessary
    • Oils and lubricates moving parts on machines to ensure effective performance
  • Installs replacement parts for machines
  • Identifies the causes of unexpected breakdowns of machines
  • Repairs broken machines quickly and efficiently
  • Organizes and prepares reports documenting work performed
  • Cleans, organizes, inventories, stocks, and otherwise maintains shop areas, parts, tools, and supplies when applicable
  • Collaborates with customers during service calls/visits on recommended fixes or upgrades
  • Makes necessary modifications and implements tests runs; confers with product manager regarding test results and makes additional alterations to machinery as required
  • Performs other related duties as assigned 
Qualifications / Requirements:

 

This opportunity calls for strong mechanical aptitude, experience with packaging equipment, and low-voltage electrical knowledge. Success requires attention to detail, solid problem-solving skills, and the ability to perform effectively in a dynamic team-oriented environment.

  • Mechanically inclined with great problem-solving skills
  • Experience working with Multivac, Scandivac, Reiser, Ulma or similar equipment preferred
  • Some vocational or community college with related coursework or equivalent experience, required.
  • Low voltage electrical knowledge
    • Must know how to use a multimeter and ammeter.
